kapybara is an unconventional beer bar in a large underground space in central yerevan. the design revolves around the figure of the totem animal, the mascot capybara. to keep the experience theatrical, the architecture focuses on standalone pieces, while the atmosphere is enhanced by vibrant illustrations of the capybara’s adventures. the surrealistic images with a storyline and the central totem figure were designed by talented illustrator areg movsisyan. the toilets contrast the main features with their simpler approach to visual order.
