a restaurant and lounge zone, which combines the dining area and the reception space of a new hotel located in dilijan armenia. the idea was to perceive the space as a background for beautiful scenery opening through the large windows, as well as for the delicate food served here. only few accents in the restaurant and the lounge area are designed in emphasised colours, while the general coloour pallette and material choice remains muted.
dilijan is known for using wood and terracotta bricks largely in vernacular architecture, which was combined here with modern sculptural shapes and materials. the lighting is dimmed and quite dark in order to transfer the initial idea and create calming atmosphere of enjoying mountainous views and forests in the area.
